Common Resume Spelling Mistakes

Getting ready to send in your resume? Well, make sure you spell it right. What is "it?" The word "Resume." Believe it or not, but resume is one of the most commonly misspelled words on job applications. Here are some common ways how people spell resume:

resumen
reseme
resumae
resemue
resmue
resme
resueme
remuse
resdume

All of these are WRONG!!! Resume is spelled R - E - S - U - M - E.

Some people get confused because resume is actually a French word and is sometimes spelled with an accent. In this case, make sure you select the accent in your word processing program so it appears like this: resumé. Avoid spelling resumé like these examples:

resumes'
resume'
resum'e
resume's
